Subi's leaders learn cultural competency

SUBIACO Football Club’s leaders have participated in a cultural competency course aimed at helping them understand and deal with the Indigenous culture.
The club’s on-field leaders, including last year’s skipper Aidan Parker and Jason Bristow and Darren Rumble, joined the club’s front office staff and Department of Sport and Recreation staff for the seminar.
Graeme Gower and Dr Matthew Byrne delivered a two-and-a-half hour lecture aimed at better educating the staff with an appreciation for the Indigenous culture.
It is a sidebar to the club’s work in the community through their work with Balga Senior High School through their Community Engagement Program.
