Subiaco recruit Nathan Phillips has decided to pull the pin on his WAFL career after the mental strain of his ACL comeback became too much.
Phillips, who joined the Lions from South Fremantle for the 2012 season, did his ACL in the pre-season match against Swan Districts.
The Halls Head product begun his WAFL career at Peel Thunder in 2006 and 2007 before he moved to the Bulldogs.
It was at the Bulldogs that he won a Best and Fairest and announced himself at WAFL level.
Phillips played nine league games for Peel and 42 for South Fremantle.
