The ‘R’ word has no doubt been thrown around at Subiaco this week.
The Lions will be looking for redemption after horror losses to the Sharks in their past two meetings.
Prior to this season Subiaco held an astonishing 14 game winning streak at East Fremantle Oval.
The Lions midfield will operate for the first time this year with out the hard-nosed Jason Bristow. The ball magnet is sidelined after injuring his knee in last week’s loss to Perth.
The loss of Bristow is offset somewhat by the possible return of midfielder Brett Mahoney. Mahoney hasn’t played since injuring his ankle in round 14.
The O’Brien Factor
Rory O’Brien has been in scintillating form this year and in particular against Subiaco. In the two meetings between the teams O’Brien has tallied a massive 75 disposals and a couple of goals.
Maloxos’ men will be licking their lips coming up against Subiaco. Fresh from a bye the Sharks have belted the Lions from pillar to post this season beating them by 69 points in round 4 and 80 points just a fortnight ago.
Subi’s line up is to be bolstered by the return of Antoni Grover and Andrew McDougall from injury. Grover adds to the Lions defence while McDougall will be a welcome return to the Lions midfield set up.
