Colts Season Review RD 19-24

The Colts entered their final five games of the season on the brink of a finals position.

After falling to table toppers Claremont and South Fremantle in consecutive rounds the young Lions had to win every game for the rest of the season to secure a post-season berth.

Big wins over East Perth and Peel Thunder left the Lions clinging onto fourth spot by the final game; narrowly above East Fremantle on percentage.

Army’s chargers held their nerve on the last day of the regular season to record a gutsy 14-point win over the Royals and a trip to the finals.

Joshua Deluca continued to pitch in with key performances whilst pacey winger Aaron Summers had his best patch of form averaging 20 disposals and a goal a game.

Corey Buscall, Declan Jackson and Brennan Pearce were outstanding for the Colts defence; whilst Jordan Bestry excelled as a mobile utility.
