State of Play

11 potential state representatives will go head to head under the watchful eye of WA coach Bill Monaghan at Medibank Stadium on Saturday.

First place Subiaco host fourth placed West Perth just a week out from WA’s fixture against the NEAFL in Sydney.

Monaghan has named a 30-man squad and it includes Lions Chris Phelan, Chris Deluca, George Hampson, Lachlan Delahunty and last year’s Simpson Medalist Wayde Twomey.

While from West Perth captain Jay Van Berlo, Shane Nelson, Chris Kuenen, Jordan Jones, Kody Manning and Laine Rasmussen are all all in the squad which will be cut to 23  next week.

Subiaco got back onto the winners list by taking care of Perth last week while West Perth will be brimming with confidence after last week’s win over Peel Thunder.

The Falcons chased down a 30 point three quarter time deficit to pinch a thrilling one point win in front of their home crowd.

Former Falcon

Frank Stockley says he has no regret moving from West Perth to Subiaco and his form backs it up.

Stockley only played a handful of senior games for the Falcons last year but has already cemented himself as Subiaco’s starting ruckman.

Having a Krak

Andrew Krakouer has only played three senior games this season but has been lively of late with 3 goals in his last two.

Milestone man
