Subiaco utility Lachlan Delahunty will return against West Perth at HBF Arena tomorrow after a month on the sidelines.
The makeshift ruckman has overcome a knee injury and could shape as a crucial inclusion for the Lions.
For the first time this season Delahunty will play alongside two genuine ruckmen in Andrew McDougall and Frank Stockley which will free up the 193cm wingman from contesting hit outs.
Subiaco’s lineup is drastically different to one that lost to West Perth by 10 points back in round 9.
Darren Rumble, Rhys Waters, McDougall and Shaun Hildebrandt didn’t play that day but will all line up tomorrow.
Andrew Krakouer played for the Falcons that day but has since retired from WAFL football.
Lions midfielder Simon Moore, Bill Featherstonhaugh and lively forward Chris Deluca are all in contention for a senior call up after impressing in Subiaco dominant reserves side.
Lions spearhead Matt Boland will miss the game with a hamstring injury sustained during the second quarter against Peel Thunder a fortnight ago.
The WAFL’s leading goal kicker booted five majors the last time the two teams met.
Fans will get a glimpse of Subiaco’s specially designed NAIDOC jumper while West Perth is celebrating their International Round and will also wear a specially designed strip.
It features the flags from the top 8 countries of birth (outside of Australia) for residents residing in the cities of Joondalup and Wanneroo.
West Perth has given out 70,000 free tickets to the game and is expecting their biggest home and away attendance for the season.
There has been a slight change to game times due to West Perth hosting their International Round and hosting a special Citizenship Ceremony before to the League game.
