Around The Club: May 2015

Subiaco may be off the field this week but the Medibank hive continues to hum.

One of the biggest initiatives in focus this week is the Lions Development Raffle with the goal to raise money for the District and County Junior Clubs affiliated.

Director Basil Fuller is spearheading the project and has been pleased with the club’s interaction.
“Thanks to all the members for their early returns. This project is off to an excellent start thanks to our committed patrons.” Said Fuller

Any members holding on to tickets are requested to forward them to the club or use the upcoming home games against East Fremantle (6th June) or South Fremantle (13th of June)

The raffle is already off to a roaring start with the Prostate Council Australia serving as a beneficiary.

RAFFLE DETAILS

SUBI SHORTS:

CALLING ALL LADIES:
Subi are honouring everything female with our June 6 fixture against East Fremantle at Medibank Stadium. Subiaco’s ladies day will involve a bunch of perks including a cocktail bar and mixologist, three hour drinks package, food prizes and competitions. Book as soon as possible through Brooke at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Bookings are essential by Wednesday June 3.

KING ARTHUR:
One of the most reliable game day players for Subiaco isn’t on the field. Arthur Livingstone is the Lion that can be heard and not seen at Medibank Stadium and has become the time-keeping veteran for the club. Livingstone has been around for more Grand Finals than Darren Rumble and was inducted as the 93rd life member of the club in 1985.

STATE PRIDE:
Even though we have already covered WA’s dominance over the state by week comprehensively there’s no harm in mentioning the seven Lions that contributed again. Wayde Twomey, Clancy Wheeler, Leigh Kitchin, Lachlan Delahunty, Shane Yarran, Chris Phelan and Darren Rumble were a part of the Black Swans 45 point win over South Australia. It was the most state representatives Subiaco has had since 2005.
