Round 14 is the WAFL's Think Mental Health round, where football clubs across WA are encouraged to educate players in recognising and nurturing mental health.
The round has special meaning for Subiaco’s colts coach Chayce Creedy, who is also the deputy chairperson of the Regional Men's Health Initiative and has been on the board for eight years.

Last week our Subiaco 15’s competed in the WAFL development carnival against Perth, South Fremantle and regional sides, Midlands, Midwest and Great Southern. The 15s who had been training since May performed strongly across the 7 games, showcasing the exciting future of Subiaco Football Club.

Subiaco completed a remarkable come from behind victory, defeating Peel Thunder by five points at Lane Group Stadium on Saturday.
It was a game of momentum, where both sides caught fire at different stages of the match.
After Peel led by four goals at the first break, the Lions fought back to lead by 10 points at half time.

Subiaco have gone down in a tough contest to Peel Thunder, falling by 26 points at Lane Group Stadium on Saturday July 16.
It was a heavily contested game, where the two sides were neck and neck throughout, with just two points separating them after three quarters.
However, the Thunder proved the better team on the day, kicking four goals to one in the last to take the 10.15 (75) to 7.7 (49) win.

In 2020, Subiaco's Colts side went into the grand final as underdogs, but walked out premiers in a 59-point victory over Claremont.
Among the names in the side were Fremantle duo Neil Erasmus and Matt Johnson, as well as Hawthorn's Tyler Brockman.

Subiaco have continued their impressive season in the reserves, defeating East Fremantle by 45 points at Leederville Oval on Saturday July 9.
The Lions were red-hot early, kicking the first four goals of the match to unsettle the Sharks.
Although East Fremantle managed to claw back the margin to as little as 12 points halfway through the third term, Subiaco went to another gear to blow them out of the water.

A four goal first quarter flurry from the Sharks has seen Subiaco fall by 25 points at Leederville Oval on Saturday July 9.
With a four goal flurry start the game for East Fremantle, the Lions fought valiantly but were on the back foot for the entirety of the game.

NAIDOC week is special in more ways than one according to Subiaco forward Brandon Matera.
He’s a proud Whadjuk/Noongar man, and is part of the Lions long history of Indigenous players alongside his brother Bailey.
