Yaz stands up for All-Stars
- Friday, 20 February 2015
Subi’s Shane Yarran will line up alongside the AFL’s best indigenous talent in tonight’s exhibition game against the West Coast Eagles.
The 26-year-old forward was offered the unique opportunity last night and is excited to represent the Indigenous All-Stars alongside the likes of Stephen Hill, Shaun Burgoyne and Chad Wingard.
Yarran is delighted with the chance to play with the best and aims to make the most of it.
"I'm excited and humbled with the opportunity to play amongst the countries best indigenous talent as well as an AFL side with the calibre of the West Coast Eagles." said Yarran
The athletic forward had a breakout year for the Lions in 2014 kicking 36 goals on his way to a WAFL Premiership
His meteoric rise also had him in draft contention at the end of the season but AFL club’s opted to ignore Yarran. The All-Stars vs West Coast Eagles clash now looms as a chance to re-ignite the curiosity of AFL selectors.
