Lions Buzz: Round Seven
- Monday, 04 May 2015
Subiaco moved a game clear on top of the WAFL after a lacklustre 36-point win over Perth at Lathlain.
The Lions were able to open the gap after Peel fell to Swan Districts. Subi can move further away from the Fremantle aligned Thunder with a win over them next week.
Subi were in control from start to finish against the league’s last placed Demons but we’re unable to demonstrate their dominance on the scoreboard.
Apart from Shane Yarran providing class throughout the encounter with four goals the kicking was below par for Jarrad Schofield and a Lions outfit who pride themselves on hitting targets.
A hard week on the training track is ahead of a Lions but there were plenty of talking points in this weeks Buzz.
HALLAZ FLIES HIGH
Subiaco forward Kyle Halligan sent an emphatic message to the selection panel with a dominant six goal haul in the reserves. Along with 20 disposals and six majors Halligan also took one of the biggest grabs of the year. Hallaz is one of the club's most exciting up and coming forwards and you can watch why here.
