Good Friday Match & Season Launch

 

Subiaco kick off their 2018 season with a blockbuster traditional Good Friday clash with co-tenant rivals East Perth at Leederville Oval. Following the action on field, Subiaco will be hosting their season launch from 7.30pm in the upstairs bar. All Subiaco fans are encouraged to attend what promises to be one of the great days of 2018 for the club.

Getting There:                                       

There are three main entrance gates into Leederville Oval, one off Vincent Street, one off Oxford Street and one in close proximity to Richmond Street near the Loftus Recreation Centre.

 

Nearest train station is Leederville train station, on the Joondalup Line. Leederville Oval is a short 8 minute walk from Leederville train station. Trains depart every 15 minutes in both directions on game day.

 

Nearest bus stop is 12694 situated closest to the Richmond Street entrance with bus number 402, 403 and 404 stopping here. Bus stop 12676 stops on Oxford Street closest to the Vincent Street and Oxford Street entrances with bus number 15 stopping here.

  

Parking is available at the Loftus Recreation Centre, street parking on Richmond Street and various car parks throughout Leederville.

 

Members with parking can enter via Oxford Street and park in the S.I.D.E carpark or in ground depending on your pass.

 

Tickets

On Game Day tickets can be purchased from any of the three gates located off Vincent Street, Oxford Street and Richmond Street.  Adult Tickets $15. Concession Tickets $12. Under 16s Free.

 

Season Launch

Subiaco will be launching their season with a special event post game. Players from the Subiaco seniors, colts and women’s teams will be presented on stage to members and there will be an opportunity to win $4,000 in prize money in the Player Group Auction for 2018. Season Launch will commence after the main game in the upstairs bar at Leederville Oval with all Subiaco fans encouraged to attend.

Winning has never been easier, simply be at Leederville Oval on Friday! From Easter eggs being given out all day, to our Easter Raffle, to AFL Tickets & Quest West Perth Stays being given out at the Season Launch, being at and being seen at Leederville Oval has never been so rewarding.

 

Easter Festivities

There will be a host of chances for guests to Leederville Oval to embrace the Easter spirit on Good Friday. Chocolates eggs will be handed out at entrance gates, there will be a Good Friday raffle, an Easter egg hunt at half time and an Easter hamper will be won by someone at the Season Launch following the game.

 

Good Friday Raffle

Help support junior football, junior girls football and netball by getting a ticket in the Good Friday raffle. Just $2 a ticket or 3 for $5 which can be purchased from the Lions Netball girls who will be selling at all the entrance gates. Prizes include IGA gift vouchers and baskets of Easter delights. Proudly supported by Supa IGA Wembley and IGA Leederville.

 

McDonalds Kid Zone

McDonalds will be supporting the Good Friday match with a kid zone set up on the northern side of the ground. Visit the kid zone for your shot at a handball game, a spinning wheel and a host of other activities.

 

Family Friendly Fun

WAFL Football remains a family friendly environment. All attendees are welcome to come onto the field during the quarter breaks. Please keep a distance from team huddles and leave the ground at the sound of the two sirens.

 

Topolini’s TO-GO

Get hamburgers, footy chips, continental rolls and all your food favourites by visiting Topolini’s TO-GO, located upstairs in the alfresco area alongside the Subiaco bar.

 

Handsome Stranger Coffee

Need a coffee on game day? Head to Handsome Stranger set up alongside the Subiaco members area. With great coffee available all day, help support ‘Kitch’ and grab a Handsome Stranger coffee.

 

Bar Areas

Subiaco Bar will be open from 12.00pm and is open to all match attendees. The bar will remain open until 10.00pm after the game and remains one of the few licensed premises that will be open on Good Friday.

 

A mobile can bar will be set up on the northern bank of Leederville Oval during Saturday’s match.

 

Bar Specials

Visit the upstairs members bar at Subiaco to get discounts on Carlton Dry pints and Great Northern pints.

 

Team Store

The Subiaco Team Store will open at 2.00pm located on the ground floor of the Subiaco building.

 

Memberships

Memberships will be available for purchase by visiting the team store prior to the game. Those who already have memberships will be able to pick their 2018 memberships up by visiting the friendly team at the Subiaco Team Store.

 

Kick-to-kick

Bring your footy and have a kick on Leederville Oval during the breaks. If you need a footy please stop by the Subiaco Team Store and pick one up from $10.

 

Vote for your QBE Man of the Match

The QBE Man of the Match is back again in 2018. This year you can vote for your Man of the Match every week, with all weekly winners going into the draw to win an end of season, money can’t buy experience featuring behind the scenes access to a marquee Subiaco and WAFL event. Pick your QBE Play of the Week

Visit Subiaco’s website next week and vote for your favourite play of the week. A weekly winner from QBE’s Play of the Week will go into the draw to win an end of season, money can’t buy experience featuring behind the scenes access to a marquee Subiaco and WAFL event.

 

Broadcast Information

Two radio broadcasts will be available for Friday’s clash. ABC Grandstand will be broadcasting live, while if you are at the ground, tune your device to Footy Radio to get live play by play of all the action as Subiaco and East Perth battle.
