Subiaco is excited to announce that there will be three Subiaco players representing the club in this weekend’s first State 16’s match as Western Australia travel to Adelaide to take on South Australia.

Tyler Brockman, Sandon Page and Taj Schofield have been selected after strong campaigns with the Subiaco 16’s program and then backing this up with accomplished performances in the WA State 16’s trial games.

Brockman is a medium sized midfielder who has overcome a shoulder injury to take his place in the side.

Page is a versatile forward whose game has improved over the last 12 months with his ability to hunt the football and apply tremendous defensive pressure a key part of the modern game.

Schofield is a hard running midfielder whose ability to find the ball in space and then use the ball well, key traits of his game.

Brockman and Schofield continue family ties to the Subiaco Football Club, with Brockman the nephew of former Subiaco premiership player Greg Broughton and Schofield the son of former premiership player and current premiership coach Jarrad Schofield.

Both Brockman and Schofield will be hoping to emulate these high profiled relatives into the AFL system in coming years, as will Page whose ongoing development and ability to play a key role in modern football keeping them all on AFL club draft radars.

“It is a wonderful achievement for these three young players,” Subiaco Talent Manager Michael Farmer said.

“It is great recognition for their hard work over the past six months and justification for the ongoing work that Subiaco continues to do with their development program.”

“We wish all three players the best of luck in this weekend’s game.”

Subiaco would also like to recognise the other four members part of the WA State 16’s Academy in Ezekiel Bolton, Cameron Dean, Bryce McDonald and Connor Watts.
