IDENTICAL BEHIND SCORING – One of the great all time quirks of the Subiaco Football Club occurred over the past two weeks, as the behind score generated by Subiaco at the end of each quarter this week, was identical to the one last week. For two weeks in a row Subiaco had registered three behinds at quarter time, seven behinds at half time, nine behinds at three quarter time and finished the game with 15 behinds.

FIRST GAME GOALS - Tom Edwards-Baldwin was the 10th new Lion to debut in 2018 and became the fifth to score a goal in his debut game this year. Back in Round One, Ben Newton, Ryan Borchet and Jacob Miller all goaled in game one, while Ethan Burnett goaled in game one in Round Two. Edwards-Baldwin kicked two goals in a superb first game second quarter.

HITOUTS - Lachlan Delahunty had nine hit-outs in Saturday's win. This is the third time in succession that Delahunty has failed to register double digit hitouts. You have to go back to 2015 to see the last time that Delahunty went three games without passing 10 hitouts.

THIRD QUARTER WINS – Subiaco made it a perfect 10 for 10 relating to third quarter wins in 2018. Subiaco has outscored opponents by over 20 points in the third quarter of matches alone, having conceded just 116 points, an average of 11.6 in 10 third quarters so far in 2018. The ability to come out strong after half time has been the backbone of several Lion victories this year.

INSIDE 50’s – Kyal Horsley tied the WAFL season high for forward 50 entries with 11. This was the second time that Horsley had recorded double digits in this category in his career, the only other time being back in 2016.
14
SOKOL – Ben Sokol had a resounding return to form, with a dominant performance in the forward half. Sokol was a threat in front of goals with three, but was equally important working up at the ball carrier, as highlighted by his career best 14 marks. At the other end of the ground Jordan Lockyer also pulled in a career high 11 marks on the day.
16
CONCEDED CENTRE CLEARANCES – Subiaco won the overall clearances on the day 38 to 34 against Swans, but pause for concern for coach Jarrad Schofield comes from the centre clearances where Swans held sway 16 to 8, beating Subiaco by 8.

KICKING EFFICIENCY – Subiaco recorded an elite level 70% kicking efficiency in Saturday’s game, almost 10% better than their opponents. Going into the game, statistically disposal efficiency was one of the notable gulfs between the two teams and the reality of the match held sway with Subiaco far more efficient with the ball.
159
HANDBALL RECEIVES – Subiaco’s ability to share the ball was indicated by finishing a whooping plus 71 in handball receives. Subiaco came into the game first in the WAFL in this category, while Swans were last, with the difference in style notable with Subiaco looking to run and share by hand.
459
POSSESSIONS – Subiaco once again beat their own record for most possessions in a game in 2018. It was the fifth time that Subiaco has topped 400 possessions and they now own the four highest possession games in the WAFL in 2018.
