Game Day Information - Round 14 V Peel

Subiaco is set to join in NAIDOC Week celebrations, when they host a Round 14 WAFL clash against Peel in what is the second Grand Final rematch of the season.

 

Subiaco will again wear their special NAIDOC jumper and a Welcome to Country ceremony will occur before the match.

 

Also, with the Landmark Country Week Championships taking place, Leederville will host Division 2 football on Friday afternoon, with Subiaco’s very own Goldfields set to play in two of the pool matches on the day.

 

Following all this, Subiaco’s league team will look to again take care of business against bitter rivals Peel, as they continue their quest towards the 2018 minor premiership.

Getting There:                                       

There are three main entrance gates into Leederville Oval, one off Vincent Street, one off Oxford Street and one in close proximity to Richmond Street near the Loftus Recreation Centre.

 

Nearest train station is Leederville train station, on the Joondalup Line. Leederville Oval is a short 8 minute walk from Leederville train station. Trains depart every 15 minutes in both directions on game day.

 

Nearest bus stop is 12694 situated closest to the Richmond Street entrance with bus number 402, 403 and 404 stopping here. Bus stop 12676 stops on Oxford Street closest to the Vincent Street and Oxford Street entrances with bus number 15 stopping here.

  

Parking is available at the Loftus Recreation Centre, street parking on Richmond Street and various car parks throughout Leederville.

 

Members with parking can enter via Oxford Street and park in the S.I.D.E carpark or in ground depending on your pass.

 

Tickets

On Game Day tickets can be purchased from any of the three gates located off Vincent Street, Oxford Street and Richmond Street.  Adult Tickets $15. Concession Tickets $12. Under 16s Free.

 

NAIDOC Week

Subiaco is proud to be part of the WAFL NAIDOC Round and will be welcoming all to the traditional land of the Wadjuk Noongar people for our game with Peel. A traditional Welcome to Country will be held prior to the league game commencing on Friday night, so fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy this ceremony.

 

Country Week

Leederville Oval will be hosting Division 2 Championship games all afternoon on Friday. Get to Leederville Oval and the Leederville Sports Bar to enjoy an afternoon of the best country footballers going at it. Our very own Goldfields will play in two games. Day fixtures below:

Player’s Playlist

By popular demand, the Player’s Playlist is back for another night game! The players will be having some of their favourite tunes played at half time and after the game. Let the Subiaco players entertain you, and give you the right music for your Friday night.

 

Leederville Sports Bar

The Leederville Sports Bar will be showing a host of great live sport across the evening. Get upstairs to the Leederville Sports Bar and enjoy sports including the AFL Grand Final rematch between Adelaide and Richmond, NRL, Super Rugby and Wimbldeon all live on our screens.  

 

Family Friendly Fun

WAFL Football remains a family friendly environment. All attendees are welcome to come onto the field during the quarter breaks. Please keep a distance from team huddles and leave the ground at the sound of the two sirens.

Team Store

The Subiaco Team Store will open at 5.00pm located on the ground floor of the Subiaco building. The team store is the perfect spot to get your winter necessities, beanies, scarves and hoodies will all be available on Saturday to keep you warm as you cheer on the maroon and gold.

Saturday Action

There will be another full day of action on Saturday with four games across the day including Subiaco’s Colts, Reserves and Women’s teams doing battle. There will also be a regional district showcase game where you can see some of the brightest talent from our region in action. Leederville Sports Bar will be open all day, with the whole day of AFL action on our screens courtesy of FoxFooty.

Bring your footy and have a kick on Leederville Oval during the breaks. If you need a footy please stop by the Subiaco Team Store and pick one up from $10.
