Game Day Information - Round 15, 2018

The two powerhouse sides of the past three home and away seasons are set to renew their rivalry when South Fremantle travel to Leederville to take on Subiaco.

 

With top spot still up for contention, a win in this match could be pivotal to the Lions retaining top spot and the Bulldogs making it one step closer to a minor premiership.

 

The on field action will be hot, but it should be even hotter off field as Subiaco celebrate their 2018 Ladies Day.

 

Following the game, it will be the first Subiaco Idol with the Subiaco players set to perform some of your favourite hits in a night of fun, and likely terrible singing and dancing. Rumours swirl that “The King” may be making a long lost appearance as a guest Subiaco Idol judge.

Getting There:                                       

There are three main entrance gates into Leederville Oval, one off Vincent Street, one off Oxford Street and one in close proximity to Richmond Street near the Loftus Recreation Centre.

 

Nearest train station is Leederville train station, on the Joondalup Line. Leederville Oval is a short 8 minute walk from Leederville train station. Trains depart every 15 minutes in both directions on game day.

 

Nearest bus stop is 12694 situated closest to the Richmond Street entrance with bus number 402, 403 and 404 stopping here. Bus stop 12676 stops on Oxford Street closest to the Vincent Street and Oxford Street entrances with bus number 15 stopping here.

  

Parking is available at the Loftus Recreation Centre, street parking on Richmond Street and various car parks throughout Leederville.

 

Members with parking can enter via Oxford Street and park in the S.I.D.E carpark or in ground depending on your pass.

 

Tickets

On Game Day tickets can be purchased from any of the three gates located off Vincent Street, Oxford Street and Richmond Street.  Adult Tickets $15. Concession Tickets $12. Under 16s Free.

 

Ladies Day

Subiaco will be celebrating Ladies Day. Tickets start from $60 and include a two and a half hour food and drink package, half time cocktails, access to the beauty station, giveaways, gift-stalls plus one lucky lady will be drawn at random to be one of the judges for Subiaco Idol.

 

Subiaco Idol

Following the game, at approximately 6pm, Subiaco’s players will be participating in the first Subiaco Idol. Be sure to stay around after the game and see the Subiaco players perform some of your favourite hits in what promises to be a night of laughs and fun. Player presentations will be held just prior to Subiaco Idol commencing with our latest five game jackets set to be handed out.  

 

Ronald McDonald House Charity Round

Both teams will be wearing silly socks to help raise awareness for the Ronald McDonald Charity during the game. Throughout the day you can help support the sick kids by giving to the tin rattlers who will be around Leederville on the day.

 

McDonalds Kid Zone

Kids will be able to play a range of different football and activity games on Saturday, with a McDonalds Kid Zone in operation across the afternoon. With face painting and a host of different experiences for the kids, be sure to check out the McDonalds Kid Zone.

 

Monster Energy 4WD Appearance

WAFL sponsor Coca-Cola Amatil will be represented at Saturday’s game with the Monster Energy 4WD in attendance and giving away free samples. Be sure to check out the 4WD on the outer side at Saturday’s game.

 

Leederville Sports Bar

The Leederville Sports Bar will be showing a host of great live sport across the day. All AFL games will be shown through Fox Sports and on Channel 7, while the Subiaco V South Fremantle game will also be shown on our screens. Later in the night Wimbledon, Tour De France and World Cup Soccer will all be on the Leederville Sports Bar screens!

 

Drink Special

The Leederville Sports Bar will be doing a special price on Johnnie Walker & Ginger, for just $6.

 

TV Broadcast

Can’t make it to Leederville for Saturday’s game? Never fear, this match is the WAFL match of the Round and will be broadcast on Channel 7, Live and Exclusive. The game will be broadcast on screens around the ground, with all the highlights on show through the Main Scoreboard TV.

 

Family Friendly Fun

WAFL Football remains a family friendly environment. All attendees are welcome to come onto the field during the quarter breaks. Please keep a distance from team huddles and leave the ground at the sound of the two sirens.

Team Store

The Subiaco Team Store will open at 11.00am, closing at the earlier time of 1.00pm. Located on the ground floor of the Subiaco building. The team store is the perfect spot to get your winter necessities, beanies, scarves and hoodies will all be available on Saturday to keep you warm as you cheer on the maroon and gold.

 

Kick-to-kick

Bring your footy and have a kick on Leederville Oval during the breaks. If you need a footy please stop by the Subiaco Team Store and pick one up from $10.
