Subiaco Honoured for Outstanding 2018 Season
Subiaco was honoured this week at both the WA Football Media awards as well as at State Parliament.
A group of 11 Subiaco representatives were hosted at State Parliament at a dinner arranged by Member of Carine and Subiaco Vice Patron Tony Krsticevic.
Meanwhile at the WA Football Media Awards, Subiaco captain Kyal Horsley claimed the WAFL Player of the Year and the Subiaco undefeated season by the league side was acknowledged by members of the WA Sports Media.
Former Subiaco three time premiership coach Jarrad Schofield was an honourable mention in the coach of the year category which was won by West Coast Premiership Coach Adam Simpson.
At State Parliament, Club President Mark Lawrence, Club CEO Peter Capes, Directors Russell Smith and Dwayne Lamb were joined by Beau Wardman, Matt Cavedon, Steve Wasley, Ben Newton, Lachlan Delahunty, Chris Phelan and Daniel Vidovich were hosted.
The group got an inside look at State Parliament before dining in one of the private rooms in a memorable occasion for those involved.
It was a big night for WAFL football at the WA Media Awards, with respected WAFL journalists Russell Reid and John Townsend winning major awards on the night.
Both Reid and Townsend recognised the outstanding and history making season by Subiaco across all three grades.
Subiaco thanks both the WA Football Media Guild and Tony Krsticevic for their acknowledgement of a successful 2018 season.
