Subiaco Captain hits 100 game milestone
This weekend’s game v West Coast will be captain Leigh Kitchin’s 100thWAFL game since debuting for Subiaco FC in Round 1 2015 where he collected 28 disposals, 3 marks, 6 tackles and a goal.
The 29-year-old crossed from VFL Club Frankston to the Lions in 2015. Prior to arriving in Western Australia, Kitchin appeared in 86 of a possible 87 games for Frankston.
In 2017, Kitchin had an outstanding season, claiming his first Outridge Medal, averaging close to 25 possessions per game and playing in all 23 matches for the year. Kitchin was also one of the best on Grand final day for Subiaco finishing with 26 possessions.
Since moving to Subiaco FC, Leigh has only missed one match (round 16, 2016 v Perth), meaning he will have played 100 out of a possible 101 WAFL games.
Leigh Kitchin will be the third Lion to hit the 100-game milestone after Horsley (195) and Clancy Wheeler (153).
Congratulations Leigh!
