Round 12 WAFLW Match Preview
Round 12 will see Subiaco take on East Fremantle at Leederville Oval for a 2:00pm bouncedown on Sunday 4 August.
Keep an eye on Subiaco’s social media channels and Subi app for updates across the day if you cannot make it to the game.
Form
After a round 12 win against Swan Districts by just a point, the Lions will look to continue their winning ways and collect another W playing in front of their home crowd at Leederville Oval for a second week in a row. A Lions win would look to cement top spot leading into the Finals Series, with two home games of the home and away season yet to play.
Top of the Table Clash
Subiaco currently sits top of the WAFLW ladder, two games ahead of East Fremantle with a similar percentage to the Sharks. A win to the Sharks could see East Fremantle retain second position leading into the final’s series, even with Claremont’s game in hand.
Goal Kickers
Last time the two teams played, the Lions kicked five goals; coming from Renee Forth 2, and Beatrice Devlyn, Hayley Miller and Tarnee Tester all adding one apiece.
Opponents Form
East Fremantle currently sit 2ndon the ladder with five wins and four losses and an extremely healthy percentage. The Club has won three of their last four games and includes a two-point loss to Claremont in round 10 and are hot off a 10.14 (74) to 1.3 (9) victory against Peel Thunder last week. A win for East Fremantle will be massive ahead of their finals campaign.
Last two times
Whether at home or away this season, Subiaco has managed to secure the victory on both occasions. Round two saw Subiaco win by 11 points, while round seven of the 2019 WAWFL season saw Subiaco defeat East Fremantle by 20 points. Back at Leederville Oval for round 12, Subiaco will look to make it three from three this year against East Fremantle, in the lead up to the 2019 Finals Series.
