Subiaco FC duo Lachlan Delahunty and Aaron Heal hit 100 game milestone
This weekend’s game against Swan Districts will see premiership pair Lachlan Delahunty and Aaron Heal play their 100th WAFL game.
Delahunty relocated to Subiaco from Frankston, VIC at the start of 2014 and debuted in round one against South Fremantle. In Lachlan’s first two seasons at the club he played 15 games each season and both the 2014 and 2015 WAFL Grand Finals.
In 2017, Delahunty played his best season finishing runner up in the Outridge Medal Count. Not only did he lead the ruck throughout the season but also was able to show his ability up forward with 16 goals for the season, which he has since topped with his 31 goals last season.
27-year-old Heal made his league debut in 2011 with Peel Thunder against Claremont, before leaving the WAFL at the end of season. Heal returned to the WAFL in 2014, playing eight league games for Subiaco.
Aaron had a breakout year in 2016, finishing second behind Chris Phelan in the Outridge Medal count after collecting 270 disposals from 22 games as the Lions shut-down backman.
Lachlan and Aaron will be the fourth and fifth player to hit the 100 games milestone for Subiaco FC after Horsley (197), Clancy Wheeler (154) and Leigh Kitchin (101).
Congratulations Lachlan and Aaron!
