Rhys Waters hits 100 Game Milestone at 2019 WAFL Grand Final
This weekend’s Optus WAFL Grand Final against South Fremantle will see Rhys Waters play his 100th WAFL game after debuting back in 2011 Round 18 against Swan Districts, after coming through the Subiaco District playing for local Club Sorrento Duncraig JFC.
Prior to taking a break from football in 2016, Waters ammassed a total of 67 games including being part of the winning 2014 WAFL Grand Final.
Waters returned to Subiaco in 2018, with his versatility to play forward and in the midfield seen as an asset for the club.
The 25-year-old has shown impressive performance and elite ability over the past few years. He especially had an impressive 2019 season which saw him play 19 games throughout the season, including the 2nd Semi-Final against South Fremantle, averaging just under 12 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles and 1.5 goals.
Having played in a premiership and kicking a total of 133 goals to date in his career Rhys Waters is a versatile player being able to play in both midfield and in the forward line.
Congratulations on your 100 games this weekend Rhys!
