Subiaco Football Club are proud to announce the senior coaching panel for the 2020 Optus WAFL Premiership Season.

After taking Subiaco to a flag in 2019, league coach Beau Wardman is excited for season 2020 and the new senior coaching panel. "We are excited to confirm our senior coaching team have all re-committed for the 2020 season. Nigel, Jason and Ryan bring great experience and enthusiasm to the coaching team and their drive for Subiaco to remain strong in 2020 and beyond will provide stability for the club."

Speaking on the new 2020 coaching panel, Wardman stated "Matt Cavedon will step into a line coach role with our Senior Development team in 2020, as he continues to grow his coaching, but will also take on a greater role with our transitioning colts players and look at the leadership program for our colts and senior development side; which will fast track the development of these players." 

"Paul Vines came back to the club as a structure coach and worked with our senior and developing midfield players in 2019. In 2020, Paul will take on the Senior Development Head Coach role. He is really passionate about seeing players develop and will be able to educate our next generation of Subiaco League players really well. Paul is highly respected among the players and coaching group" said Wardman.

Subiaco Football Club also welcomes new faces to the senior development coaching team said league coach Beau Wardman; "Scott Stanton, who was the midfield coach in the 2018 colts premiership team will step into the development backline. Scott has over 10-years experience coaching at WAFL level in a variety of roles. Brent McPherson will take-up a role as the development forward line coach. Brent coached the State Amateurs Under-20s team this year, and has had a long involvement at Swan Athletic Football Club. Both Scott and Brent strength is in developing the skills of players which will be important for our senior development side." 

2019 Outridge Medallist Kyal Horsley will take on some coaching in a development role for 2020, working closely with a small group of young league players. "Kyal undertook his level 2 coaching course in 2019 and will add to his role with our emerging leaders. Kyal has a great knowledge of the game and his empathetic nature will see him fit into the coaching role really well" said Wardman.

Pre-season begins on November 18, with Wardman keen to re-establish standards and reach new heights with skill efficiency and strength over the pre-season, "our coaching group have been busy planning some exciting new initiatives for the pre-season as we look to take on the WAFL in 2020."
