Strength and Conditioning Update - supported by Flex Fitness Equipment
Subiaco's round one fixture will commence on 4 April against Swan Districts, with Subi players in great nick and starting to really show the work they have put in over the course of pre-season, with some match simulation and small hit outs they have played over the last few weeks, said Strength and Conditioning Coach Matt Olds.
"With a month to go before round one, we still are looking to continue to build some load into the group to ensure we still play to our trademarks as a hard running side. But we’ve transitioned into ensuring the teams really gel and understand the game plan to ensure we can execute on game day" said Olds.
Last night the Subiaco seniors played an intra-club match at Leederville Oval, with a majority of players available and only a few players missing. Players pulled up as expected after a competitive hit out, however, are fortunate that after a solid block of training they now have a four day break to recover before hitting the ground running next week and leading into the pre-season fixtures.
The rehab group has come down in recent weeks as we continue to release players back into main training said Matt Olds.
Subiaco play their first pre-season fixture on March 14 away against East Fremantle before returning back to Leederville Oval on 21 March to play Perth in a curtain raiser to the Outside the Locker Room Celebrity Match, before finishing up our pre-season fixtures against West Perth away on 28 March.
