Meet Board Member - Fiona White-Hartig
Get to know one of the Club's newest board member, Director of Business Development, Fiona White-Hartig.
Fiona recently relocated to Perth after residing in the City of Karratha for the past 17 years, working primarily in the not-for -profit, Indigenous and community sectors.
Fiona has a strong background in the political environment, building and maintaining vital relations with both State and Federal Members of Parliament. With over 10 years' experience as a Local Government Councillor (and former Shire President), Fiona has developed strong relationships in the sector at both elected member and management level.
Having undertaken the Australian Institute of Company Directors training, Fiona has extensive Board experience, including positions with the Pilbara Development Commission, Pilbara Regional Council, Karratha & Roebourne Visitor Centre’s, Yaandina Family Services and WACOSS. She is currently a Director for the Yindjibarndi Charitable and Corporate Trust and Chairperson for Regional Development Australia- Pilbara.
Currently, Fiona is the Managing Director of Global Roaming Pilbara Foundation Ltd. Fiona began working with the small community of Roebourne, located in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, to give young women the opportunity to realise their full potential by building self-confidence through modelling and leadership; this program was so successful these amazing young women have modelled in New York, the UAE and throughout south-east Asia.
With such a successful foundation GRPF have now developed programs for both young males and young females, where they apply life skills and knowledge by combining sport with positive reinforcement to promote healthy lifestyles and career pathways.
Fiona is looking forward to the challenge of being a Director for the Subiaco Football Club and learning more about the world of professional sport, whilst also ensuring the continued long term financial sustainability and growth for the Club in the years to come. She is particularly passionate about the Club’s ability to reach into regional and remote communities to inspire the next generation of Football players to follow their footy dreams.
Fiona joins fellow board member Kristi Annear, as the second female board member currently sitting on the Subiaco Football Club Board.
