Round 2 WAFLW Recap v East Fremantle

Subiaco clashed with reigning premiers East Fremantle at New Choice Homes Park on Sunday afternoon to win by 21 points to keep the team undefeated after two games.
Subiaco got off to a terrific start, kicking three goals in the first quarter with East Fremantle goalless. The Lions then kept East Fremantle scoreless in the second half of football.
The win put the Women’s team top of the WAFLW ladder with the only team to record two wins after two rounds.
There was an even spread of goalkickers for the Subiaco team, with Charlie Thomas, Ellie Blackmore, Taylisha Brown and Philippa Pienaar kicking one each.

Subiaco’s next game will be played against Swan Districts at Steele Blue Oval on Saturday at 3.10pm after the Men’s League game.

The Subiaco Women’s Rogers Cup team lost to East Fremantle away at New Choice Homes by 30 points, after being kept scoreless in the first and third quarter, however, won the second and fourth quarter against the Sharks.
