RESERVES
The Subiaco Development side looked to continue their winning form from their round 1 victory over Claremont against a formidable opponent in Swan Districts.
The side under the guidance of coach Paul Vines got off to a great start kicking 3.2 in the first quarter while keeping the Swans scoreless at the first break. The Swans would slowly bridge the gap over the next 2 quarters to be down by 5 points at the last change.
The last quarter would provide a shootout with both sides going goal for goal before a free-kick to Luke Shepherd would result in a goal too but the Lions up by 6 points with 3mins to play. Swans would then reply quickly
Subiaco had three development players make their debut for the club in Luke Shepherd, Brandan Young and Daniel Farmer, while two Colts players were promoted in Lachlan Henderson and Trey Kennedy.
Subiaco’s fast start resulted in three goals to zero at the first break but it would be their scoring inaccuracy that potentially cost the young side from coming away with the win.
The Lion’s had 14 scoring shots to 9 with Swans making the most of their opportunities.

Jesse McDonald made his debut for Subiaco coming across from Claremont in the offseason. Jesse acquitted himself well from the backline having 13 possessions and sneaking forward for a goal.
