AE Hoskins Colts Team Announcement: Brockman back for Second Semi Final
This Sunday, Subiaco Colts will take on Claremont at Fremantle Community Bank Oval, with bouncedown at 9.30am
Final team announcement via WAFL website tomorrow afternoon.
Ones to Watch
Sandon Page looms at the match winner in Subiaco’s game against Claremont this weekend. The versatile forward has booted at least two goals in every one of his seven Colts matches this season, including two bags of five. Expect the 18-year-old to continue this strong form, gathering plenty of the ball and impacting the scoreboard in a big way.
Lachlan Vanirsen has found plenty of the footy this season, leading the Lions midfield brigade with aplomb. The ball magnet is averaging over 22 disposals across his eight Colts matches this season to go with just over six marks and nearly four tackles, showing that he’s having an impact on the game both with and without the ball in hand. Vanirsen is flying right now and will no doubt have a strong influence on the match once again.
Matthew Johnson will be hoping to have a similar impact this weekend as he did last time the Lions came up against Claremont in Round 1. The 17-year-old was dominant that day, finding 24 disposals and driving the ball inside-50 seven times for the morning. A similar output will see the Lions in a strong position to win the match and enjoy a weekend off before taking part in the 2020 WAFL Colts Grand Final.
Jed Kemp is enjoying a super consistent 2020 season to date, regularly featuring at the top end of the disposal tally in every match. The Goldfields product has found at least 17 disposals in every match, with his most productive match coming against this weekend’s opponent – Claremont, in Round 1. Kemp amassed 21 disposals that morning, to go with seven marks and a goal to cap off a very important performance that will give him plenty of confidence moving forward.
Tyler Brockman has been a strong presence around the contest all season, averaging five tackles a match with his highest tally coming against Claremont back in Round 1. Brockman laid nine that morning and the Claremont on-ballers will be looking over their shoulder whenever they get near the ball, in fear of the well-built Lion being close by.
