SUBIACO FOOTBALL CLUB ANNOUNCE CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR SENIOR COACH
Subiaco Football Club CEO Peter Capes today announced that Beau Wardman will be the senior coach of the Lions for the next two seasons.
Capes said “We know that we have the right coach to lead this club, he has done a fantastic job during his first two years as senior coach of the Subiaco Football Club”
Wardman has been a very successful coach during his time with Subiaco, a premiership Colts coach in 2018 and a premiership WAFL League coach and JJ Leonard Coach of the Year in 2019. He has clearly demonstrated his leadership and coaching ability to drive high standards that are the key to longer-term competitiveness for the club.
In the very brief eight-game 2020 season, thirty-six (36) players played league football, seven (7) of those made their senior debuts making it fourteen (14) in the last two seasons. The development team performed strongly pushing a number of young players forward that will be the backbone of the club in the years to come.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be able to lead this team for the next two years. I love the club and the playing group and can’t wait to coach the team next year in Subiaco’s 125th year competing in the WAFL” said Beau Wardman.
The board were totally united in the contract extension offer to Beau and are committed to providing him the very best people and structure to support the football program in 2021 and beyond.
