WAFLW Round 6 Match Preview v South Fremantle
This Saturday afternoon will see Subiaco face bottom-of-the-ladder South with bouncedown at 5pm. South Fremantle are yet to win a game this season, and have already gone down to the Lions in round one of the WAFLW Optus Premiership Season by 4 points at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

Subiaco started the season on a good note in round one with a close win against this weekend’s opposition in South Freo, however have not managed to secure a win in the past four WAFLW games, going down to top-spot Swan Districts this past weekend by 4 points.
Subiaco have played South Fremantle a total of three times in their WAFLW history, defeating the Dogs on all three occasions by a total of 99 points.
Accuracy was an issue against the Swans, kicking 2.6 in eight scoring shots, resulting in 25% accuracy. Conversion will be key against the Dogs, with the Lions looking to cement their second win of the season.
OPPONENTS FORM
South’s currently sit on the bottom of the ladder after five games. Souths have lost by a total of 194 points throughout the season, however, the closest win was against Subiaco in round one, where they only lost by a kick. South Fremantle will look to hit the scoreboard early and put pressure on the Lions throughout the game.
LAST TIME THEY MET
The last time the Lions met the Dogs, Subiaco got off to solid start, kicking 3.4 in the first half, to lead by eight points at half time.
The Lions then kept South Fremantle scoreless in the third quarter, however, they weren’t able to capitalise as they kicked 1.6 in the quarter. The Lions were frazzled in the fourth, as South Fremantle kicked 3.2 to Subiaco’s 0.3, however, Subi were able to close it out in the end to secure the victory.
