Round Two Team Announcement v East Freo
This Saturday, the Subiaco league side will take on East Fremantle at New Choices Homes Park with bounce down at 2:10pm.
This years’ forward line has a bit of a new look to it with last season defender, Aaron Heal making his move up forward in a team position change. In a positive start for him and the team, Heal booted three straight in his first run in his new locality last week against The Royals and looks to settle in nicely for the season ahead. Along with this, Heal’s joined a solid forward line, already looking damaging, to further see him thrive this season with Ben Sokol, Michael Braut joining him in the three goal club last week and buzzing new forward pocket addition, Jordan Faraone booting two in his first game.
Skipper, Leigh Kitchin displayed his prime leadership with 29 disposals and a goal in the second in round one, even after missing a pre-season fixture, Kitch looks fresh and ready to further his commanding form in season 2021. He looks to be strongly supported by Greg Clark and Harry Marsh this season as the three of them racked up 82 disposals, 23 inside 50s and maintaining the pressure with a total of 15 tackles in round one.
New face of Lewis Putt is also one to keep an eye out for, as he strutted his stuff in his first run with the league boys this past weekend with 26 hit outs, 14 disposals, pressure-high for a big man 4 tackles and having two shots at goal finishing with 1.1.
Kyle Stainsby and Jakob Atkinson are out for this weekend's clash against East Freo. Defenders Hayden Kennedy, Kaiden Fullgrabe, Ben Reid and Jacob Miller have all been added to the extended squad, so expect one potentially two of those players to come in for Stainsby and Atkinson.
