Four games to go in the 2021 Optus WAFL home and away season and it’s time for a change of scenery as Subi are heading to Revo Fitness Stadium to go head-to-head with Claremont who are hot on their tails just one win behind this season. Bouncedown 2:10pm.

Keep an eye on Subiaco’s social media channels and app for updates across the day if you cannot make it to the game.

FORM

After leading at every break in the game, Subi won comfortably last week against West Perth. Subi gave themselves optimal opportunities with 22 scoring shots for 47 inside-50s compared to the Falcons 32 inside 50’s.

The week prior was Subi’s statement to the rest of the comp winning 10.13 (73) to 4.5 (29) to last year’s champ again thumping the opponents in looks at goal 23-9 on this occasion.

Greg Clark has now cracked the top five for number of disposals in the comp and Ben Sokol has followed suit now being fifth on the Goal scoring leaderboard with 30 big ones. Subi sit with three losses, 11 wins and are chasing their twelfth this weekend.

OPPONENTS FORM

Claremont weren’t where they’d like to be last week, not on the winner’s list following a shock loss to East Perth. The Royals delivered yet another upset despite trailing for the first half, but Claremont dropped away after the main break which pushed them to their fourth loss this year.

Before that however, a few good wins against Peel and East Freo put them in second on the ladder and even earlier they were the ones holding top spot, so knowing that ladder leader position is up for grabs this week if they win big will make it all the more a spectacle of a game.

GOAL KICKERS

Last time they played each other it was Nicholas Martin that shone with four goals straight while Jordan Faraone was equally as important kicking 3.3. Alex Manuel booted the most for Claremont 3.1.

LAST TWO TIMES

Back in round 6 Subi won convincingly at home 13.16 (94) to 7.12 (54) and had them at a nice pace in the early stages of the season. Before that, last year in the first game of the season did Subi find themselves up against the future grand finalists. It was Claremont that not only led throughout the game but ended up taking home the four points winning 15.5 (95) to 11.9 (75).

OTHER GRADES

Ressies will play before league at 11:40am while Colts will start proceedings at 9:10am in a crucial clash to keep the door ajar for upcoming finals series.
