Ben Golding to debut against East Fremantle
Ben Golding will be making his league debut this afternoon against East Fremantle and is the ninth league player to debut in 2021.
Having played most of his junior football at Kingsway and arrived at Subiaco Colts from North Beach in 2018, Golding in his second year with the Subiaco Colts was awarded the Taylor medal as the team’s Best and Fairest.
Since joining the senior squad, Golding has had two impressive Reserves seasons across the last two years, collecting the Bill Mackie Memorial Trophy as runner-up in the Reserves best and fairest last year.
This season, the inside-mid is currently ranked 5th in the Reserves competition for disposals accumulating a total of 259 in 13 games, he averages five tackles a game and has scored a nice 10.2.
Ben is regarded as one of the best clearance players in the club; a strong in-and-under player aided by his karate background.
Golding looks set to continue to be one of Subi’s top performers and bring his best this week against the Sharks.
