Beau Wardman extends to 2024!
Subiaco and Beau Wardman have agreed to a two-year contract extension, seeing the senior coach at the helm until at least the end of the 2024 season.
Wardman has one year remaining on his original contract, meaning he effectively has at least three years to run on his new deal.
After missing out on finals in 2020, Subiaco claimed its 16th League Premiership in the Club’s 125th year under Wardman.
While at Subiaco, Wardman has clearly demonstrated his leadership and coaching ability to drive high standards that are the key to longer-term competitiveness for the Club.
“Our club has such a proud and rich heritage; I am very humbled and very grateful for this opportunity, continuing to lead the group over the next few years. I really enjoy working with this group of players and staff. We have a number of young players who continue to develop and will lead us into the future, and I am excited about working with them and what story we can write together.” Wardman said.
“Our responsibility is to make sure we set up an environment where all of our players can be their best selves and reach their potential. To continue the legacy of diehards before us and pave the future for young and aspiring players into the future.”
“We still have things we want to achieve as a group and individuals, we are not there yet, that’s the exciting part.”
Subiaco Football Club CEO, Peter Capes was pleased to sign Beau Wardman for an additional two years as Senior Coach.
“We know Beau is the right coach to continue to lead this Club into the future, he has done a fantastic job; securing two premierships in his three years as senior coach of the Subiaco Football Club” said Capes.
“In addition, Beau is focused on developing our younger players and producing the best possible environment for them to excel”
The board were totally united in the contract extension offer to Beau and are committed to providing him with the very best people and structure to support the football program in 2022 and beyond.
