RESERVES

Subiaco were overrun in the contest by West Perth, taking a 22 point loss under lights at Leederville Oval on Saturday April 30.

The Lions started like a house on fire, but were unable to keep up the momentum as the Falcons ran away 13.6 (84) to 9.8 (62).

Although they conceded the first goal, Subiaco looked in control taking an 18-point lead at the first break.

However, West Perth were able to fight back with two quick goals in the second, and it became an arm wrestle.

In the third, the Falcons got on a run, kicking five goals to two before Subiaco fought to stage a comeback in the last.

They managed to get within nine points in the late stages of the match, but West Perth proved too strong and claimed the win.

Subiaco ruckman Jake South was among the best for the Lions with 13 disposals and seven tackles, while Lachlan McKay was a spark up forward with two goals to go with 16 touches.

COLTS

Subiaco had a back and forth battle with West Perth, but ultimately fell by 33 points in the morning game.

The Colts side was within touching distance of their opponent all day, but could not surge past the Falcons who took the 14.10 (94) to 9.7 (61) win.

Subiaco got off to a good start with the first goal of the day, but the pressure was high from West Perth.

It was an even contest for most of the first half, with just one straight kick separating the two sides at the main break.

However, the Falcons were able to capitalise when they needed to, taking control in the last quarter to seal the victory.

Spearhead Koltyn Tholstrup continued his impressive start to the season with 21 disposals and four goals to help him sit at the top of the Colts goalkickers list after three rounds.

Meanwhile, Dylan O’Dea was strong in defence with 10 possessions, and Robert Hansen Jr was lively with 13 touches and two goals.
