RESERVES
Subiaco have continued their impressive season in the reserves, defeating East Fremantle by 45 points at Leederville Oval on Saturday July 9.
The Lions were red-hot early, kicking the first four goals of the match to unsettle the Sharks.
Although East Fremantle managed to claw back the margin to as little as 12 points halfway through the third term, Subiaco went to another gear to blow them out of the water.
Five goals were kicked by the Lions in the last term to the Sharks’ one, putting the exclamation point on the 14.11 (95) to 8.2 (50) win.
Lachie Vanirsen used the ball well and impacted with 19 disposals and a goal, while Oskar Matthews (30 hit outs) provided his midfielders with first use of the ball from stoppages.
Isaac Clinch (11 disposals) was solid down back, and Connor Patterson (17 disposals, two goals) put the pressure on in the forward half of the ground.

The Lions continue to build momentum in the Colts, taking a 35-point win over East Fremantle.
Debutant Koopa Walsh got Subiaco off to a fast start, kicking the first of the side’s five goals for the opening quarter.
Aside from losing the second term, it was an impressive performance from the Lions, who were able to maintain control of the ball to keep themselves ahead of the Sharks.
The 13.8 (86) to 7.9 (51) win moves the side to second spot, one win behind top-of-the-ladder West Perth.
Walsh finished with four goals to his name, while Riley Mayfield was one of Subiaco’s best with 20 disposals and a goal.
Ryan Newick kicked three majors and worked hard all game, and Dylan Cordier worked hard in defence, taking seven marks on his way to 11 disposals.
