WAFL: Round 13 Match Report vs Peel Thunder
Subiaco will make the trip to Mandurah in the hopes of finding some form in the latter stages of the season.
With their opponents in Peel Thunder in a similar position on the ladder, it'll be a close match up with both sides aiming to go home with the four points.
FORM
The Lions were competitive in their last hit out against East Fremantle, but ultimately fell by 25 points.
However, there were silver linings to take from the match, including the returns of premiership heroes Harry Marsh and Michael Braut.
It will be do or die for Subiaco, who sit three wins outside the top 5.
Meanwhile, Peel have had mixed fortunes in 2022, sitting two wins outside fifth-placed Swan Districts.
Their finals hopes took a dent with a narrow loss to West Perth last week, and will be looking to get back on the winner's list.
LAST TIME THEY MET
Subiaco fell by six points to the Thunder when they last faced off, in front of a big crowd at Leederville Oval.
The Lions had been ahead, but a Nat Fyfe inspired Peel outfit stormed home to take the win.
On the day, Ryan Borchet kicked four goals and was threatening up forward, while Lachlan Delahunty worked hard around the ground to make an impact.
ONE TO WATCH
Subiaco have debuted 17 players this season, but one has made the transition to his role look very smooth.
Lachie Henderson has been impressive in the absence of Jordan Lockyer, playing on some of the competition's most dangerous forwards at times.
Last week he kept Shark Jono Marsh to just two goals in a superb defensive effort.
He will be looking to continue improving for the remainder of this season and beyond.
