Launching a new networking group - Subi Means Business
The Subiaco Football Club has launched its business networking group, Subi Means Business, with a networking breakfast headlined by entrepreneur Wally Edwards AM.
Mr Edwards is Managing Director of Holman Industries and a long time supporter of the Subiaco Football Club dating back to travelling from Muchea to watch games with his father in the 1950’s.
Sport featured heavily in Wally’s life, having represented both WA and Australia in cricket, as well as featuring on both their respective boards over the years including a stint as Chairmen of Cricket Australia.
The businessman spoke of a number of his varying careers and ventures including engineering, irrigation, creating new products with recycled plastics, and an investment in the WA truffle industry.
Speaking at the Subi Means Business networking breakfast, Mr Edwards gave strong advice for people looking to get into any industry.
“The hardest job of all is to make a sale,” he said.
“But the most valuable thing is your customer.
“When you get one, don’t lose them.”
Subi Means Business aims to host several events across the year with the aim to connect the club community with local businesses.
Memberships are currently free, where those who join can have priority access and discounted tickets to events, advertising through the Subi Local business directory, and promotional opportunities through the club community.
