Reserves: Lions loss sets up do or die clash with Sharks
Subiaco will need to win to stay alive in the reserves competition, following their Qualifying Final loss to Swan Districts.
The Swans got their noses in front early, leaving the Lions playing catch up for the remainder of the game.
Ultimately it was a bridge too far, with the side falling to Swan Districts 9.10 (64) to 5.11 (41)
Corey Bellouard had an influence with 19 disposals, while Corey Robinson tried hard all day with 20 touches and a goal.
The loss sets up a must win situation against East Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Sunday.
The Swans were the first to hit the scoreboard, kicking back to back goals before Robinson put one through the big sticks.
Two more Swan Districts majors however had Subiaco on the back foot.
The trend continued in the second term, with the Lions unable to register a goal to be down by 28 points at the half.
Keeshawn Cook and Jake Stergiou put goals on the board after half time, sparking a fight back.
However, the Swans pressure allowed them to get inside 50 more often, creating more scores.
Swan Districts kicked two goals after the three-quarter time siren, putting Subiaco out of the game midway through the last term.
