Denneman to lead Subiaco’s Women’s Program in 2024

The Subiaco Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Baker Denneman as head coach of the Women’s side for 2024.
Denneman comes to Subiaco with plenty of experience in football.
He has previously worked through NSW/ACT Talent pathways, with an array of coaching roles at both the Sydney Swans and Greater Western Sydney Giants Academy.
He was appointed as Senior Assistant Coach for Sydney Swans during the 2022 AFLW season.
Denneman said he’s thrilled to be a part of the Lions.
“It’s a great honour to join the football club and more notably the WAFLW program moving forward,” he said.
“I have been fortunate to be able to be exposed to some high-level programs, and coaches along my journey.
"I look forward to being able to create an environment where I can allow the athletes to flourish and build on already well-established platforms from previous years.”
In 2023, the Lions narrowly missed out on finals, failing half a game short of fourth spot.
Denneman said he hopes next year is a strong season for the side.
“We find ourselves in the fortunate position where we have a good mix of players, who have displayed talent previously,” he said.
“The players are keen to get the program rolling to ensure we can establish the necessary platforms for success in 2024.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity and look forward to seeing everyone support this exciting group throughout the 2024 season.”
