Champions to Return to Celebrate Flags
The Subiaco Football Club is welcoming 2004 and 2014 League Premiership sides back for their Round 2 clash vs Peel Thunder on Sunday 7 April.
The Club will also honour the 1924 Premiership side in the 100th year anniversary of their historic premiership.
It will be a return to the Club for Peter German (pictured with Matt Priddis) who was the coach who broke a 15 year premiership drought for the Lions and is now currently coaching the Perth Demons.
The 2004 side formed some close bonds through their Premiership victory, with many players flying in from the East Coast to celebrate the day including 2004 Captain and fiery red head Richard Maloney.
A couple of 2004 rookies in that side also went on to have amazing AFL careers including Matt Priddis, David Mundy and Ryan Crawley. All three have confirmed their attendance, with Pridda currently helping out the Club with some Stoppages Coaching.
The 2014 side was a complete turnover of playing stock apart from the ever reliable Darren Rumble, who was a part of both flags.
2024 Coach Jarrad Schofield (or Taj's Dad) will be flying back from Gather Round with the Eagles to make sure he is at the match.
Subiaco supporters and those wanting to attend the day are welcome to purchase tickets online (below) or by calling the Club on 9209 9999 during office hours. Ticket sales to close on Thursday 4 April. Subiaco Members $60, Non Members $80 including entry, meal and 2 hour beverage package.
