Talent on Display in the Goldfields
Wet and muddy conditions still not enough to dampen the enthusiasm of all the players at the recent annual Goldfields carnival.
Subiaco Talent Manager Stuart Berryman describing the skill and enthusiasm across all age groups was top class.
“Kalgoorlie won all five fixtures despite Esperance putting up a great contest. I must add the highlight goal of the day was Braeden White, who celebrated kicking the first goal for Esperance and giving the double cobra,” said Berryman.
Berryman added, the form and skills displayed over the weekend at Sir Richard Moore Oval bodes well for the future talent pathway from the region.
“The Goldfields has always been a wonderful talent producing region for our (Subiaco) club and this years batch clearly showed our future is in safe hands," he said.
Staging such a big carnival needs a lot of preparation and a volunteer support and this year it was a seamless event. Kate Ainsworth (EDFL) and Eshe Christie (GFL) and their teams did a “mountain” of work before and during the carnival.
