Dave Hay Takes on the Central Park Plunge

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 - 9:12 AM

The club has been supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of WA for a number of years and this year we grabbed the opportunity to join the Central Park Plunge where a lucky SFC celebrity gets to rappel down the iconic Central Park Tower for 130 metres or 33 floors.

We needed someone to step up and do the actual abseiling so we asked for volunteers, then had to resort to convincing Dicko, Joe G, Stu Berryman and others but no. We then asked the player group in general but still came up short! Really poor considering that both Neil Randall and Peter Capes have done it previously!!

Then along came the hero in Colts Coach John Mansbridge who was not exactly keen but did agree. That was until he booked a trip and has since fled the country from fear and is hiding out in Bali.

Not to worry, a braver hero has come to save the day - Colts Forwards Coach Dave Hay! Dave is helping SFC raise over $2,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and more importantly plunging THIS SUNDAY MORNING!

Get along to Hay St Central Park and join the crew to celebrate Hazy’s feat at 12:30pm this Sunday.

Thanks Dave Hay from everyone at the Subiaco Football Club
