RECRUITING:  With the recent retirements of 3 legends in Leigh Kitchin, Ben Sokol and Angus Dewar the club has been active so far this offseason securing the signatures of:

Archer May       200cm Key Forward from Richmond VFL. 20yrs

Archer will provide a big target down forward, look for his clean hands and mobility. Archer Will compliment Ryan Borchet and Jack Mayo and hopefully give the opposition some sleepless nights.

Jedd Edwards  200cm Ruck from East Perth FC. 25yrs

Jedd has been understudy to Scott Jones at East Perth for several years and has proven his capability when asked to shoulder the league ruck duties in jones’s absence.  We are looking to Jedd for physicality and aggression in the contest and to give our midfield first use out of stoppage.

Jack Cooley     192cm Midfield/Utility from Perth FC. 23yrs

Jack joins us from Perth FC and will add  depth to our midfield brigade.  Jack has the ability to play inside/outside and being 192cm can play tall whilst having good speed to break the lines.  Jacks played 52 League games and averaging 21 disposals.

STAFFING:  Few departures with Chayce Creedy and family relocating to the southwest for work/family reasons, Jay Bordas has stepped down as Head development coach due to time commitments but hopes to stay at the club in some capacity.

Dan Hiscock has returned to the club in the Head S&C capacity over seeing the senior men’s program whilst continuing to  align the entire club’s strength and conditioning under his  Athlete Alliance banner.  Dan is a significant asset and step forward for the club to get back to being the fittest and strongest team in the competition.

Mick Ablett has been promoted from runner to our League forward’s coach. Mick has vast experience over  multiple levels of football and will provide great guidance to our playing group.

Tom Lowndes has been promoted to Head development coach after spending several years in the club’s talent programs. Tom is a fantastic young coach who already has established relationships with the playing group and will look to further build on these and continue to challenge and drive standards for our young group.

Jon Tan  has also returned to the club after a 10 yr hiatus. John is a Chiropractor and passionate Subiaco supporter who will be a great addition to our medical team.

GENERAL NEWS:

Des Penman reserve will be the clubs home away from home over the next few months whilst the Leederville oval upgrade is under construction. We will have our talent, women’s and men’s programs all based out there over summer which is a great opportunity for the club, staff, coaches and players to work together closely and continue to build on our connection across the club and one club model.
