The May Monthly Meeting for Golds and the Ladies Forum was held in the Leederville Sports Bar & Functions Centre last week, with a good turnout of members enjoying the comradery of Subiaco’s Coterie Groups.
The members were joined by new 2019 league players in Jack Mayo, Harry Marsh and Jack Beverley, along with the returning Joel Latham giving updates of their season and careers so far.

While Subiaco’s men’s teams took the weekend off, eight members of the senior squad were in action with the WA State team, with the Women’s teams also playing in their historic first home WAFLW match.

You would be hard pressed to find a better way to debut in WAFL footy than kicking one of the match winning goals as part of a fourth quarter fightback, yet last Saturday young Subiaco forward Jack Mayo lived that boyhood dream.
Mayo kicked a final quarter goal and helped play his role as Subiaco came from 22 points down to beat Swans and in the process extend their winning streak to 25 games.

Not only has Kyal Horsley enjoyed tremendous success at Subiaco since returning from the Gold Coast Suns, but he's been a key part of the WAFL's State Game dominance which he hopes continues against the SANFL at Optus Stadium on Sunday.
Horsley returned to captain Subiaco in 2014 on the back of spending the previous two years in the AFL system at the Gold Coast Suns where he did play 13 games despite rupturing his ACL and requiring a knee reconstruction.

Subiaco has eight players in line for selection in Sunday’s WAFL versus SANFL state match as Western Australia and South Australia contest for the Haydn Bunton Junior Cup.
Five of Subiaco’s eight representatives have played in winning state games before while the three potential debutants have become standouts across the entire WAFL competition.
