Meet Alison Worthington

The Subiaco Football Club is proud to shine a spotlight on Alison Worthington, a lifelong Lion whose dedication, care and passion continue to leave a lasting mark on the Club.

Alison’s connection to Subiaco began as a Lion’s Junior Member, attending games at the original Subiaco Oval with her father, Ron Worthington. Those early days were about more than football – they were about belonging. Alison fondly recalls helping her dad with parking duties at the ground, a small but meaningful way she contributed to the Club from a young age.

In recent weeks, Alison has been generously volunteering her time at the Club, helping to clean, organise and refresh the office and club spaces. Her efforts have transformed the environment into a cleaner, more welcoming place to work – somewhere that reflects pride in the Club and the people behind it. CEO Kellie Properjohn and Club staff have all expressed their gratitude for Alison’s enthusiasm, reliability, and the positive energy she brings each day.

Alison continues to give back as a committee member of the Golds, a member of the Past Players & Officials Association, and a recent addition to the Club’s newly formed Members Reference Group – ensuring members’ voices remain strong and connected.

Favourite Subi Memory

Since 1973, Subiaco has played in 22 WAFL Grand Finals, and Alison has attended every single one except the 2006 Grand Final, bar 1.

“Win or lose, I’ve always felt it was important to be there and support the Club,” Alison says. “Subiaco has always felt like home.”

It’s a testament to her unwavering commitment and lifelong passion for the club.
