Thanks for the Support Les

The Club are saddened to learn of the passing this week of our oldest supporter Les Wearne.  Son Peter rang the CEO Peter Capes this week with the news that Les had passed after turning 105 recently.  Apparently not long ago, Les was still talking about his last live Lion’s game he was able to attend – the 2018 undefeated premiership win at Optus Stadium!

The photo attached to the story was taken at Les’s 100 ^th birthday party with Basil Fuller and Peter Capes to present him with a card signed by the board, coach and playing group.
