WAFL signs most expansive broadcast deal in WA history

West Australian football fans will have unprecedented access to the WAFL in 2022 and beyond, with the agreement of the most expansive and contemporary broadcast deal in the history of the competition.

Subiaco has bounced back from back-to-back losses to start the season, defeating South Fremantle by 19 points on Friday March 4.

The Lions first quarter blitz of four goals got the team on top, with the margin too great for the Bulldogs to overcome.

Subiaco announces leaders for 2022

Subiaco Football Club has finalised its leadership group for season 2022, with six players selected to represent the club.

The nomination process for the team’s leaders was the same as last season, where a pool of players were voted on after those who wished to be considered nominated for the role.

Leigh Kitchin will captain the side for a fourth consecutive year, a role he said was an honour to take on for another season.

It was a tough day out for Subiaco’s WAFLW side, as they took a 45-point loss to Claremont at Leederville Oval on Sunday February 27.

Claremont’s system was well structured and prevented the home side from playing their natural game for the majority of the match.

West Coast AFLW listed Beth Schilling was a standout for Subiaco, looking solid in defence all day, while Jayme Harken found plenty of the football with 22 disposals.
