Attention was back at HBF Stadium this weekend for round three of the WA Wheelchair Football League. Subi played back-to-back matches against East Perth and Swan Districts.

The Subiaco Football Club is saddened to learn of the recent passing of past captain-coach Dave Cuzens.
Dave grew up in Bassendean and established himself as a footballer of the highest quality with Kalgoorlie City, playing in the club's 1953 and 1954 premiership teams and winning the 1955 fairest and best award.

Subiaco FC is saddened by the passing of past-player Trevor Heath after battling many years with Parkinson’s Disease.
After arriving in Western Australia from Victoria, Trevor played at West Perth before joining Subiaco between 1976-1978, playing 17 league games for the Lions.

The Subiaco Wheelchair AFL team, fresh off two wins after round one, commenced round two on Thursday 14 October at HBF Stadium, Mt Claremont.
Subiaco came up against both East Perth and Swan Districts once again, with teams playing four-on-four instead of the traditional five-on-five due to members on all teams being unable to make the Thursday night fixture.

The WA Wheelchair Football League played it’s inaugural games on Sunday, where Subi faced off against Swan Districts and East Perth on Arena 2, HBF Stadium.

Captain Leigh Kitchin, was awarded his second Outridge Medal as the 2021 Subiaco Club Best & Fairest after a fantastic season from the Lion.
Kitchin was part of a new-look A-grade midfield throughout the season, with Newton and Horsley departing at the end of 2020.

While all the attention was on the WAFL grand final last weekend, the Subiaco 14s were playing off against East Perth and Claremont in the 14s Development Carnival.

Subiaco are basking in their glory after they secured their 16th Premiership in club history, storming home 44-point victors against South Freo in the 2021 Grand Final.
