WAFL: Lions retain North Perth Community Bank Cup

Subiaco have won a 13-point arm-wrestle against Leederville Oval co-tenants East Perth to win the North Perth Community Bank Cup.

It was a see-sawing contest, with a significant northerly breeze meaning the Lions were kicking with the wind in the fourth quarter.

With the game on the line, the Lions held their nerve and outscored the Royals to win 10.9 (69) to 8.8 (56).

Dewar ‘relieved’ to receive draft combine invite

Just 12 months ago, Subiaco colt Tyrell Dewar missed state selection as a 17-year-old.

Leederville Oval To host the 2022 WAFL Grand Final

The West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) is pleased to announce Leederville Oval in partnership with the City of Vincent, has been selected to host the 2022 WAFL Grand Final on Saturday, October 1.

Subiaco rising star Malakai Champion has been named an Under 16 AFL All-Australian for his recent efforts at the national carnival.

Marsh finds silver lining during recovery

Injuries are an unfortunate part of WAFL football, and few are more aware of the fact than veteran Lion Harry Marsh.

The 2021 premiership player spent the off-season recovering from two hernias in his groin before returning in round five.

After building back fitness and getting back to his best, he came off the ground in round eight with a hamstring injury.

Marsh told Subiacofc.com.au there was a silver lining to his injuries this season.
