Lions take Andrew Christie Cup after strong win
A nine-goal performance from Subiaco’s key forwards helped them to a 24-point win over Claremont at Leederville Oval. The Lions worked their way into the game, before kicking six goals in a row in the first half to give themselves a buffer.

Round Three’s clash against Claremont will be more than just a WAFL fixture; with Subiaco honouring the ANZACS with the Andrew Christie Cup again for 2023.
The very reason we can play the game we love is because of the sacrifice that thousands of Australians made in the First World War and the Subiaco Football Club honour this sacrifice with the Andrew Christie Cup every year.

Subiaco were dealt their first loss of the season, falling to East Perth by 23 points at Leederville Oval on Saturday, April 15. It was a game that got away from the Lions, with the Royals catching fire with six goals in the first term.

The Subiaco Football Club will have plenty of presence at the AFL’s National Indigenous Academy in Adelaide this week.
