The Lions have broken a three-game losing streak to East Fremantle, taking a 10-point win at the WACA Ground on Saturday May 13. Holding a 10-point lead in the final term, the Lions were put through their paces and were made to earn the win.

Subiaco were handed their first loss in four games, going down to East Fremantle by 32 points at the WACA Ground on Saturday May 13. The Lions had their chances, but were ultimately beaten by their opponents around the ground. Subiaco has had representation at an international level, after one of the club’s own represented Australia in cheerleading. The Lions were represented at the 2023 World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando by head trainer Maddison Oudman.
Australia was one of 52 countries represented, and Oudman was selected as part of a group of 24 to represent her nation, who took out the event.

Subiaco have returned a much needed win and percentage boost as they eye a spot in the finals. Against Leederville Oval co-tenants East Perth, the Lions got ahead early and never gave it up.

Subiaco’s Colts coach is hoping to shape his squad into good young men, not just good footballers.John Mansbridge, who took over the coaching role in 2023, is focused on developing his group of young men both on and off the field.
